Rafael M. Rezende, Ph.D.

Dr. Rezende is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School with a B.S. in Pharmacy and Biochemistry, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology, and two postdoctoral fellowships in Immunology. Dr. Rezende research fields involve, at a translational level, the investigation of new immunotherapies to treat neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and at a basic level, the role of the gut-brain axis in modulating disorders of the central nervous system.
