Alban Gaultier, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, Department of Neuroscience and the Center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG) at the University of Virginia


Dr. Gaultier is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Neuroscience and the Center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG) at the University of Virginia. Dr. Gaultier also serves as the Director of the Neuroscience Graduate Program. He received his Ph.D. from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (France) in 2002. He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Diego, where he studied the function of LRP1. In Fall 2012, Alban joined the University of Virginia to launch his lab that is focused on understanding the mechanisms involved in the initiation and progression of neurodegenerative diseases.
