Luisa Quinti, Ph.D.

Instructor in Neurology, Massachusetts General Hospital

Luisa Quinti received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Pavia, in Italy and then pursued a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. She moved to Boston, Massachusetts, as post-doctoral fellow and started working at Massachusetts General Hospital as a biochemist. Dr. Quinti is currently an Instructor in the Department of Neurology, working with Prof. Rudolph Tanzi. She has been actively involved in the development of therapeutics for several neurodegenerative diseases since 2005 and is passionate about developing and implementing reliable models of Alzheimer’s disease that can identify novel drug targets and fast-track the search for a cure.

Together with Prof. Doo Yeon Kim, she is translating novel technologies developed in the lab into robust drug-screening platforms to find AD drug candidates that can be readily evaluated for human trials.
